This is an opportunity to join the Production Management team and become part of a cross-functional production environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, continuous flow of production by coordinating all activities required to produce high volumes of exceptional-quality product at optimal cost, within a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Control

• Execute and manage production plans and schedules
• Ensure adherence to process and product specifications
• Monitor production efficiencies, material usage, and product yields
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and report breakdowns
• Maintain accurate production records and reporting

Quality Control

• Monitor quality results and implement corrective actions
• Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances
• Enforce food safety systems and hygiene standards
• Ensure compliance with all quality assurance procedures

Stock Control

• Monitor raw materials, packaging, and consumables usage
• Coordinate material requirements with stores
• Participate in monthly stock takes
• Supervise Warehouse Management System activities

Personnel Management

• Supervise and coordinate production staff
• Manage staffing, training, and development
• Plan leave schedules and monitor attendance
• Maintain discipline in line with company policies
• Foster teamwork and support company culture

Health & Safety

• Ensure safe operation of plant and machinery
• Enforce health and safety standards and procedures
• Conduct toolbox talks and support emergency teams
• Report any risks or deviations

Relief Duties

• Support and stand in for the Production Manager when required

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Production Management, Food Science, or Natural Sciences
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food production/manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Syspro and TransLution WMS (advantageous)
