Reports to: National Channel Manager (FSI & Industrial)
Location: Johannesburg
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Sales representative to join the Lancewood FSI (Food
Service Industry) & Industrial team to drive sales growth. In this role, you will be responsible for managing
and nurturing high-volume client relationships, developing and implementing customer / partner strategies,
and ensuring optimal performance and customer / consumer satisfaction.
The role involves providing necessary training and support to channel partners, conducting regular reviews
of customer performance and collecting and analysing market and competitor data to inform decision
making.
You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining a thorough
understanding of the company’s products and services, and creating accurate regional & customer
assumptions, reports and forecasts.

Purpose of the Role:
Be responsible for developing and implementing channel strategies at a Regional Level and to ensure
delivery of budgeted sales, profit and channel objectives. Work closely with Industrial asnd Foodservice
customers to increase the basket of products with new applications that benefit both parties. Actively search
for new customers to expand Lancewood’s footprint in this channel.
Key Performance Indicators for this role (but not limited to):
- Building and maintaining successful commercial business relationships with customers to ensure
sustainability of company profitability - Manage Customers, so that there is alignment between the Business Objectives and Customer strategy.
- Sourcing of new customers to ensure channel sustainability
Job Summary (but not limited to):
- Building and maintaining successful commercial business relationships with customers.
- Joint formulation of customer strategies with the Industrial Sales Manager.
- Assist with price maintenance, product ranging and new product listings.
- Joint development of account plans to deliver on channel KPI’s.
- Analyse, compile and review performance of accounts as well as competitor dynamics in order to deliver
maximum sales and profit. - Drive New Product Development sessions with customers.
- Implement the agreed pricing policies.
- Develop the appropriate cross functional contact strategy (includes identifying key contacts &
establishing frequency of contact) with assigned customers.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification – Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Formal Cheffing
Qualification, Business Management or related. - Computer literacy, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams,
and PowerPoint). - Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within Foodservice, Food Production or Production Kitchen
environment. - Experience in the Dairy industry and exposure to new product development will be advantageous.
