Bulk Sales Assistant – Ambassador Foods / Mpumalanga

Reporting to: Key Accounts Manager

Location: White River, Mpumalanga

The Bulk Sales assistant will assist with maintaining & expanding relationships with bulk customers and assist with administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for bulk sales, maintaining and expanding relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Consistently meet deadlines with attention to detail and accountability.
  • In a timely manner, load and process sales orders, invoices & share relevant documentation with customers.
  • Responsible for monthly price review and implementation.
  • Contact customers regarding any issues, product or order updates.
  • Liaise with the finance department on payments received.
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints and involve the Quality department.
  • Maximize profitability and maintain GPs to meet sales targets.
  • Liaise with the Logistics Department to arrange deliveries via freight service provider & track shipments
  • Submit reports and maintain reports on formal complaints from customers.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12, tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
  • 1-2 years relevant customer service experience; experience in the food manufacturing industry will be an advantage; knowledge of food quality specifications will be an advantage.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Microsoft Navision or similar ERP).
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic in all aspects of work.
  • Proven track record of dependability and strong time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Ability to coordinate, plan, follow up and focus on a number of tasks at a time.
  • Resilient and able to cope with pressure and customer demands.
  • Numerical skills organized and methodical, ability to manage document flow at a high standard.
