Location: White River, Mpumalanga

We are looking for two motivated and detail-oriented Junior Demand Planners to join our Procurement team, one focusing on Raw Materials and the other on Packaging. In these roles, you will assist in forecasting demand, monitoring stock levels, and supporting the Buyer to ensure materials are available for smooth production operations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing accurate demand forecasts for your assigned category (Raw Materials or Packaging) based on sales data, production plans, and historical consumption.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock that could disrupt production schedules.
• Track production schedules and collaborate with Production and Procurement teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Support Buyers in managing supplier orders, including follow-ups, delivery schedules, and confirmations.
• Analyse consumption trends, seasonal demand, and production variances to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards showing inventory levels, stock movements, and forecast vs. actual usage.
• Liaise with Sales and Production to ensure forecasts align with market demand and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP and planning systems, ensuring timely updates to stock, orders, and forecasts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting, inventory management, and planning processes.
• Assist in identifying risks in the supply chain and escalate potential issues to the Buyer.
• Participate in projects to optimize planning, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Grade 12 and a degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in demand planning, supply planning, or general supply chain (FMCG experience is a plus).
• Exposure to ERP or planning systems is an advantage.
• Eager to learn and develop skills in forecasting and inventory management.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable interpreting data and preparing basic reports using Excel.
• Willingness to support procurement tasks, such as supplier follow-ups and order tracking.
