Reporting to: Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Manager
Location: Plattekloof, Cape Town
Purpose of the role
Libstar is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and motivated recent public relations (PR), communications or marketing graduate to join our team as a PR Graduate. This graduate opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in PR and corporate communications within the dynamic fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the execution of internal and external communications initiatives.
- Assist with the co-ordination of the annual PR schedule and relevant marketing / branding activations.
- Create content for various communications and marketing collateral.
- Conceptualise and coordinate video productions for various communications campaigns.
- Facilitate photography briefs.
- Monitor media coverage and sector trends, providing insights to inform various reports.
- Help coordinate and project manage relevant corporate events.
- Assist in managing the company’s social media and online presence (website content updates).
- Maintain and update stakeholder contact lists and communication databases.
- Support monthly reporting requirements.
- Manage status reports on various campaigns and projects.
- Assist in managing various suppliers.
- Assist with admin requirements
Education and qualifications
- BA Degree in Corporate communications, or PR/Marketing degree or diploma or equivalent.
Experience and skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English with spoken Afrikaans a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging style
- Basic understanding of media landscape in South Africa
- Digital and social media proficiency (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
- Graphic design or video editing skills (advantageous)
- Data analysis and research skills for reporting on communication impact

Special requirement:
- Code 08 Drivers Licence with own vehicle (preferred)
