Reporting to: Warehouse Controller
Location: White River, Mpumalanga
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments of raw materials and packaging according to proper policy and procedure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Physically checking the stock once it has been delivered to ensure the vehicle delivering the stock is clean and that product is in perfect condition (no open or damaged boxes/drums/buckets).
- Should there be any damaged product it needs to be reported to the respective buyer and quality department.
- Any damaged product needs to be sent back with the transporter immediately, if not possible the product needs to be isolated in the Warehouse Quarantine location.
- Once stock is offloaded the delivery note or invoice should match the purchase order. Any over or short deliveries should be reported to the respective buyer.
- In the case of an over-supply on a purchase order the approval from the buyer should be given before it is received on Navision.
- Once all documents has been received (Invoice, Delivery note & COA/COC) the order needs to be received on Navision and all documents linked onto the purchase order.
- Should there be any outstanding documents the buyer needs to be notified and it is the buyer’s responsibility to request all the outstanding documents and submit it to the receiving clerk once received.
- Once a purchase order has been received, labels need to be printed and submitted to the Warehouse Team to label all the boxes/drums/bags.
- Ensure for each delivered purchase order that the Entecom procedure has been followed within the time frame provided and that all the relevant documents are submitted accordingly.
Requirements:
- Grade 12, relevant certification or qualification will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving department or related department.
- Previous experience working on an ERP system (e.g. MS Navision, SAP, etc), proficient in Ms Office.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes, inspections etc.
- Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated and independent, ability to take proactive actions.
- Detail conscious and organized, strong administrative skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
